As long as there is a drilling project, there must be a solids control system coming along, no matter it is for land rig drilling or offshore drilling far in the oceans, an efficient solids control system are vital for the drilling fluids recycling and drilling cuttings transportation, especially for the offshores.

GN SHAKER

GN SHAKER AND MUD CLEANER FOR OFFSHORE

In offshore projects, cause of the distance from the land, all material must be used to the most, the most liquid should be reused and least cuttings to be transported back to land. The shaker is used for separating out the most of solids, for handling the heaviest burden, the high performance and strong structure of shaker is quite important. Following features of GNZS series shakers ensures the shaker’s quality and performance:

1. A high G force up to 8.5G powered by Oli Vibrator for a good separation work.

2. Stainless steel shaker deck is stronger for handling the high G force.

3. Patent design of rubber sealing, effectively avoided the leaking of mud.

4. Two different models, with 3 or 4 pieces of shaker screens, providing large treating capacity of 120cbm/hr or 140cbm/hr.

5. Special patented way for changing screens, safe and human oriented.

Talking about shaker screens, as is known to all, shaker screens’ quality greatly affects the shaker’s performance. That’s why GN has built up a separate screen factory for better control over screen quality. In this shaker screen factory, GN is the first and only one who uses robot for welding and cutting, and GN’s screens are in accordance with API RP 13C, an accurate API number and a high conductance with a good screen frame structure made of composite material.

For more information, welcome to contact GN Solids Control directly and welcome to visit GN factory at any time.

Just last week, GN Solids Control has finished a compact mud recycling unit, with full steps for separation for one of the largest oil giants in China. This system is to be transported to the jobsite by end of this year.

This system has 4 steps of separation, including:

1. GNZS703F. Shale shakers are always the first step for separation, because of GN shakers’ high G force and accurate API complied shaker screens, this shale shaker can efficiently separate out all particles larger than 100 microns, there in hence to help with prolonging the service life of the centrifugal pump after the shaker.

2. GNZJ703F-1S8N Mud Cleaner. Mud cleaner is a combined machine of desander and desilter, at a smaller foot print. It uses interchangeable shaker screens as GNZS703F, 2 centrifugal pumps are used to feed the desander and desilter respectively.

3. GNSP series Centrifugal pumps are also GN’s own products. For material choosing, GN used the high quality anti-weary material as pump body material by hard ductile iron alloy, and the main pump body is thicker than other manufacturers’. All GNSB series centrifugal pumps are using stainless steel mechanical seals.

4. Tank and skid for above mentioned equipment. Above mentioned equipment are located as 2 blocks. One block is a skid with lifting and anchoring corners just as a 20ft container, and the shale shaker and mud cleaner are located in the skid during transportation and operation. That design facilitates the operator for transportation or lifting the whole skid onto a tank, no to adjust each equipment or pipeline’s position.

5. A tank with compartments are designed to storage the mud from the shaker and from the desander/desilter. On below the tank, there are some slots for installing the centrifugal pumps. The whole outsize of the tank is also same as a 20ft container with container corners for lifting.

Vacuum pumps are GN’s new design and new products for the oily sludge transportation. Besides oily sludge, it could also handle many other kinds of materials like the sand and small rocks from construction, the drilling cuttings from the solids control system, industrial waste, animal waste, mud tank bottom sludge, and industry slurries. Take the big pump model as example, the GNSP40A, It could handle the particles with large size up to 50mm and with solids content up to 80%.That’s why it is also called solids pump.
Ever since GN built the first set of vacuum pump and put it into market, it gains lots of eyeballs. Till now, all vacuum pumps the GNSP40A’s and GNSP20A’s have been sold out. New orders are coming all over the world, and the coming 12 sets which are scheduled to be ready by end of June are already purchased by some clients. GN Solids Control is planning to produce more as stock to matching the demands of clients.
Why could those pumps become so popular?

vacuum pump

vacuum pump

1. Cause it is suitable for the applications faced by the operators. For example in the oily sludge, there are always lots of particles which are large for normal pumps and also it is of high viscosity. This vacuum pump could handle the comparably bigger particles with high solids content.
2. It is suitable for Explosive Proof standard, even for IECEX/ATEX Zone 1. Cause it is all mechanical equipment, no electric components applied, it is fully explosive proof.
3. It could suck the material from 100 meter away and discharge it to around 1000 meter away. That’s why some operators are using it to transfer liquid from a hole deep into underground with an opening from ground.
4. Small in size and easy for transportation. The GNSP20A and GNSP10A are portable with wheels, total volume smaller than 2 cubic meters.
5. Powerful, which is the last and most important feature.
Those 2 vacuum pumps are of model GNSP40A, with a large capacity of 40cbm per hour. They are just ready for being delivered to a UAE client.

In next week, since March 14th to 16th, from Wednesday to Friday, AOG 2018 will be held in Perth, WA, Australia. AOG is short for Australia Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference, and it has been held for many years in Perth, one of the oil center of Australia. GN Solids Control has been exported mud recycling systems and equipment to Australia for many years. This time GN Solids Control is not attending AOG directly, GN Screen sample will be shown at TENSA’s booth and GN brochures also available there.

GN light weight mud system

Light weight mud tank system

TENSA Equipment is an oil service company located in Australia, who provides different services, oil and gas drilling related equipment and turn-key solutions to clients in domestic Australia and also from adjacent countries like New Zealand, New Papua Guinea and etc. Last year, TENSA Equipment worked on a light weight mud system which was requested to be transported by helicopters, and that was also a start of cooperation between TENSA Equipment and GN Solids Control. Both parties were happy with this cooperation and in this coming Exhibition, although GN is not coming directly, TENSA would like to help with some introductions.

Following are some information about the AOG 2018 and TENSA’s Booth:
Links about TENSA’s booth: https://tensaequipment.com.au/visit-tensa-at-aog2018/
Time of Exhibition: (AOG) 2018 from Wednesday 14 to Friday 16 March
Location of Exhibition: at the Perth Exhibition and Conference Centre (PECC). Perth City, WA, Australia
TENSA’s Booth Number: J1

At TENSA’s booth, GN will show a composite material frame screen. It is a composite material frame screen produced with new technology. For employing new technology into screen production, GN established a separate screen workshop and invested on cutting and welding robots, which enabled the automatic producing line for screens. Comparing with manual production, the robots are more easily and precisely controlled. Therefore, screen quality is much better.
