Operation principle of the separator

Drilling fluid with gas invades goes into the separator at the import tangentially and drops to a series baffles along the inner wall. After collision to increasing the contact area, It flows downward and become to a turbulent state which makes gas separate from mud and the free gas passes through the top of tand and discharged from the gas export. The length of gas export pipe can be determined at site and b e imduced to the safe place. The drilling fluid without gas will flow into the circular tank.

And the centrifuge is also used in the range needing to separate solid and liquid substance for petroleum, chemical industry, food, pharmacy and environmental protection, etc., able to finish dehydration of solid phase, liquid clarifying, separation of liquid to liquid to solid, andgranularity grading, etc.

Coal Seam Methan Instruction

Coal seam methane (CSM or Coal Bed Methane), coalbed gas, or coal mine methane (CMM) is a form of natural gas extracted from coal beds. In recent decades it has become an important source of energy in United States, Canada, and other countries. Australia has rich deposits where it is known as coal seam gas. The term refers to methane adsorbed into the solid matrix of the coal. It is called ‘sweet gas’ because of its lack of hydrogen sulfide. The presence of this gas is well known from its occurrence in underground coal mining, where it presents a serious safety risk. Coalbed methane, often referred to as CBM, is distinct from a typical sandstone or other conventional gas reservoir, as the methane is stored within the coal by a process called adsorption. The methane is in a near-liquid state, lining the inside of pores within the coal (called the matrix). The open fractures in the coal (called the cleats) can also contain free gas or can be saturated with water. Unlike much natural gas from conventional reservoirs, coalbed methane contains very little heavier hydrocarbons such as propane or butane, and no natural gas condensate. It often contains up to a few percent carbon dioxide. Some coal seams, such as those in certain areas of the Illawarra Coal Measures in NSW, Australia, contain little methane, with the predominant coal seam gas being carbon dioxide.

Decanter Centrifuge for CSM

Mud system for CSM normally only choose shale shaker, desander and desilter for 3 phase cleaning. But the recycled mud density will goes up and up as the fine solids can’t separate out by desilter so that a centrifuge will required or leave the mud and mixing new mud again. A middle speed centrifuge could separate solids up to 5-7 microns and a high speed centrifuge could separate solids up to 2-5 microns.

Rotating Assembly For Centrifuge

The rotating assembly consists of a cylindrically shaped, high-strength carbon steel bowl,conveyor assembly, gearbox, and related components. The bowl consists of a straight steel cylinder with a conical section at the solid discharge end and a flat liquid bowl head at the opposite end. Openings are provided at both ends to permit liquid and solid discharges. The bowl ends are supported by roller bearings having grease fittings to facilitate periodic lubrication

Bowl Assembly For Centrifuge

The liquid bowl head at the liquid discharge end contains movable weir plates that permit manual adjustment of the liquid level remaining in the bowl during rotation. Notched locking plates adjacent to the weir plates facilitate precise adjustment. The liquid level or pond depth, along with other factors, helps determine the liquid content of the discharged solids. The conical bowl at the solid discharge end forms an upward sloping beach, where solids collect and are continuously discharged through the solid discharge ports. Replaceable inserts line the solid discharge ports to minimize the rate of wear due to abrasive action.

Conveyor For Centrifuge

The conveyor assembly is a hollow, cylindrical auger that receives the inlet slurry into its interior,disperses it through feed nozzles to the bowl assembly, and transports the solids to the solids discharge outlet. Rotated by an electric motor through a three-stage planetary gearbox, the conveyor turns in the same direction as the bowl but at a higher rate of speed. The outer housing of the gearbox is secured to the bowl, while the shaft is directly connected to the conveyor
