Mud Circulation Process
Pre-screening of the returned mud using a GNZS63-3 shale shaker
This can handle a throughput up to 528USgpm (2000 litres/min) and is designed to remove particles down to 120 microns. The “High G” linear motion shale shaker action produces a virtually dry product discharged from the top of the screen.
Secondary and thirdary cleaning of the returned mud using a GNTJ60 Mud cleaner
Mud Cleaner with 8”x2 Desander cones,and 4”x8 Desilter Cones. The desander pump bring fluids from shaker compartment to a two 8” desander cones,where particles are separated down to 45 Microns,and slurry with big particles drop down to the underfluids shaker of mud cleaner for drying cleaning.And mud with particle less then 45 microns goes to desander compartment.
Then,the desilter pump bring fluids from desander compartment which is under mud cleaner to feed 4”x8 Desilter Cones where particles are separated down to 20 microns. And slurry with big particles drop down to the underfluids shaker of mud cleaner for drying cleaning.Cleaning fluids with particles less then 20 microns goes to the third compartment (Mixing compartment).
Mud mixing process using SLH150-35 Jet Mixing Hopper.
This mixing process provides fresh mud to be prepared very rapidly from bentonite powder. One of the three pumps is dedicated to this function allowing continuous mixing or recirculation as required.
Integral charge pump to supply clean mud back to the drilling rig.
The mud mixing pump has dual functions, it can also act as charge pump for drilling rig mud pump.This provides a continuous supply of clean mud under pressure to the high pressure mud pump, avoiding problems of starvation and cavitation which can rapidly cause damage.
